SOPHIE FOWLER

SOPHIE FOWLER – passionate in broadcast journalism, award winning storyteller

Sophie is an (almost) graduate at the University of Oregon and Clark Honors College, majoring in journalism and multimedia. She is interested in broadcast journalism and production.

During her time at UO, Sophie has worked in multiple newsrooms, including the Redmond Spokesman in Redmond, Oregon and a student run broadcast, Oregon News, in Eugene, Oregon. She has a background working as a producer, a reporter and a weather anchor, where Sophie can tell a story for each role.

Through these newsrooms, Sophie has grown passionate about talking to new people, hearing and sharing stories, both big and small.

She also has experience in live sports production, where she tells a story in a different way. Working with others, she creates storylines for the live-sport and adapts the production with what’s going on in the game.

Sophie grew up surrounded by reading, a love of sports and being outside. She is passionate about storytelling, video production, sports, educating others, communication and finding a solution to any problem, big or small.
